MARTIAL ARTS

Kwon's Champion Martial Arts School is the longest running martial arts school in Gainesville, VA. They are well known not only for teaching great martial arts but also teaching students to gain better focus, discipline, respect for others, and learning how to listen better to their parents and teachers. Kwon's Champion School has been the leader in teaching and formulating great character development. In this exciting beginners' level program, students will learn the best techniques from Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing, Karate, Hapkido, Kung Fu, Judo, and Jiu Jitsu. Students are bound to have a great time but most importantly, they will learn a great amount of discipline.

SMART ART

Art is smart, and this class proves it!  During this class we’ll explore S.T.E.A.M. (Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Math) concepts in creative ways, resulting in fridge-worthy masterpieces, tons of experiential learning, and loads of messy fun.  We’ll design our own mini-playgrounds, learn about M.C. Escher and Picasso, make our own lava lamps, and more.  This is no ordinary S.T.E.A.M. class!

Our Springtime Gastronomy Cooking Club will whisk your young chefs on an exciting global culinary adventure, where they’ll cook up fresh, tasty, and healthy recipes each week. Led by our expert Chef Instructors, every class blends S.T.E.A.M., culture, and language into an unforgettable hands-on cooking experience!

With plant-forward, nut-free recipes and accommodations for allergies, our classes are a perfect fit for all ages. STEM ADVENTURES

Embark on an exhilarating journey into the diverse world of STEM with our STEM Adventures program! In each course, students will delve into various aspects of STEM, exploring topics such as robotics, chemistry, coding, and even game design!

Our hands-on approach includes interactive experiments such as creating potions and crafting slime, as well as problem-solving activities like developing robotic contraptions! With an immersive and entertaining curriculum, your child will develop essential skills, nurture their curiosity, and uncover the endless possibilities that STEM has to offer. CHESS

Learn chess with Silver Knights Chess Academy (formerly Magnus Chess Academy), world champion Magnus Carlsen’s academy!  We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state and national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games.  Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies.

Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments (in-person and online) outside of club time.  This in-person club includes free online extras including weekly practice tournaments and an event with world champion Magnus Carlsen or Judit Polgar, the best female chess player of all time.  All chess supplies provided. DYNAMIC DRUM

Students will participate in a music group. Students will learn about the instrument as well as how to play in a music group.  FREE Rental instrument and curriculum included!  Instruments and music are intended for in class AND at home practice.  Rental Instrument must be returned at the last class.

FLOOR HOCKEY FLYERS

Experience the speed and excitement of floor hockey! Kids in this class will learn the basic fundamentals of the sport in a very fun and controlled environment. Teamwork and perseverance are trademarks of the sport. Modified and traditional game play will enable kids to enjoy the fast paced nature of this thrilling sport! Kids just may play in an NHL type Stanley Cup playoff tournament!

SCIENCE: POTIONS & EXPLOSIONS!

Let’s have fun with Chemistry! In this program, we will create “magic” potions and exciting chemical reactions that will blow your mind. Erupt a volcano, make indoor snow, grow crystals, blast a rocket into the air, and more. We will learn about the states of matter and how things change with mixtures, solutions and chemical reactions. Join us to channel your inner Professor Snape!
